CasaTunes USB Trigger adapter Connections

• Out-of-the-box, the USB trigger adapter is configured with 2 x Input Triggers (terminals IO0-1) and 6 x Output Triggers (terminals IO2-7)
• If you are conecting an external input trigger, then connect your external input trigger, for example, a simple doorbell switch, to the IO0 and GND terminals. Note: IO1 is reserved, as CasaTunes currently only supports a single input trigger.
• If you are connecting output triggers, then connect the supplied output trigger cables. Connect the tips (red leads) to IO2-5 terminals and the sleeve (white or black leads) to the GND terminal
• Once you have completed your trigger connections, connect the USB Trigger adapter to the music server using the supplied USB cable

• When you power on the CasaTunes music server, it  automatically discovers the presence of the CasaTunes USB Trigger adapter
• To configure the adapter, download and open the CasaTunesX App on your mobile device, or open the browser version of CasaTunesX

• Navigate to MENU > Settings > System Setup
• Tap the Page, Mute, or Chime option
• Tap Select Trigger and select the Trigger In1[...] option
• Tap On trigger and select whether you want to disable this trigger, or have the trigger Page Rooms, Mute Rooms or Play Chime
• To configure how the CasaTunes Trigger adapter responds to a signal change, tap Trigger Signal and choose whether the trigger should activate on a Low-to-High or High-to-Low transition. For a simple doorbell switch, select High-to-Low. When the doorbell is pressed, the switch closes the circuit, pulling the signal to ground. The adapter includes an internal pull-up resistor, so when the switch is released and the contact opens, the signal automatically returns to a high state.
• If you selected the On trigger to Page Rooms, then tap Page Source and select the matrix source where you connected the paging audio
• If you selected the On trigger to Play Chime, then tap Chime and select the custom doorbell chime to play when triggered. You can add your own custom doorbell chime.

• The final step is to configure the Page Settings for your rooms
• Navigate to MENU > Settings > System Setup > Rooms
• For each room you can configure whether the room should participate in the paging, muting or playing of a chime. By default all rooms are enabled. You can also configure the paging volume for each room
• To enable or disable the room, scroll down to Page Settings for the room and select whether to Enable chime, page or mute
• To set the volume, scroll down to Page Settings for the room and select the Page Volume to use when playing a chime or page

• Download and open the CasaTunesX App on your mobile device, or open the browser version of CasaTunesX:

• Navigate to MENU > Settings > System Setup > Rooms
• Select each room where you want to assign an output trigger
• In the Trigger Output Settings for a room tap on Trigger Output and select the trigger output to use. By default, Trigger Out1 controls the IO2 output on the adapter, Trigger Out2 control the IO3 output on the adapter, etc
• To disable the trigger for a room select None
• If you are using a trigger with a multi-channel amplifier, CasaTunes will enable the trigger out whenever any rooms that are configured to use that trigger are powered on. The trigger is disabled when all rooms that are using the trigger are off.
  
  For example, if you are using an 8-channel amplifier to power 4 rooms, and the amplifier uses a single trigger to turn the amp in and out of standby mode, then you would configure all 4 rooms to use Trigger Out1. Now, when any room is powered on, Trigger Out1 will be enabled, and when all rooms are off, Trigger Out1 will be disabled
