Control4 can now be used to control CasaTunes whole house music systems and CasaTunes streamers using Control4 touch panels, remotes, browser and Apps.

The CasaTunes solution for Control4 adds many significant new capabilities to a Control4 installation. Powered by CasaTunes Air, an intelligent multi-room switch for Apple Airplay, CasaTunes can seamlessly stream music from any popular music App, including iTunes Radio, Beats Music, iHeartRadio, NPR Music, Rhapsody, Rdio, Songza and more, on one or more iOS devices to any room. Listening to music is as simple as choosing your favorite music App and selecting your room. With CasaTunes Air, homeowners can easily expand their existing whole house music system by adding networked and wireless speakers as needed.
In addition to CasaTunes Air, homeowners can store an entire music collection on the music server and can use the built-in music services to play a variety of disc, networked and popular Internet music, including Grooveshark, Pandora, SHOUTcast, SiriusXM, Slacker, Spotify, TuneIn and more. An unlimited number of playlists can be created and homeowners can listen to the same playlist, or a different playlist, in each room. With CasaTunes wakeup and fall asleep to the favorite tunes can be scheduled.
To simplify setup, CasaTunes supports Control4's Simple Device Discovery Protocol (SDDP), automating the installation of the CasaTunes drivers and simplifying setup by automatically discovering and configuring the discovered CasaTunes components. Further, the Control4 drivers have been designed so that the CasaTunes music servers can also be configured as a streamer for use with other AV Switches supported by Control4. This allows an upgrade path for existing Control4 installations seeking to add the advanced streaming capabilities of the CasaTunes music server.
The CasaTunes drivers for Control4 support all CasaTunes systems, including the latest CasaTunes systems, legacy CasaTunes systems and those configured with third party audio matrix switches. CasaTunes integration is also available for RTI and Loxone home automation systems.
