Large or multi-level installations shouldn’t force you into a one-size-fits-all list of spaces. With CasaTunesX, you can organize your rooms and room groups into folders so the Rooms View mirrors your site, by floor, wing, department, or any structure that makes sense for your customer. By default, all rooms appear in the Rooms folder and all room groups in Room Groups. To place a room or room group elsewhere, open its settings and set the Folder field to the folder name you want. If you do nothing more, folders and the items inside them are shown alphabetically, keeping things clean and predictable.
When you need more control, CasaTunesX lets you define priorities for both folders and items to override alphabetical sorting. Use the format Fx:<folder name>:Iy in the Folder field, where F x (folder priority) and I y (item priority) are optional numbers. Higher numbers sort first (descending), so you can spotlight important areas or create an exact sequence without renaming anything. If you omit either priority, that element follows the default alphabetical order within its level.
Here’s a practical example. Imagine a two-floor home with six rooms—Living Room, Kitchen, Dining Room, Master Bedroom, Office, and Guest Bedroom. You want Floor 1 to appear before Floor 2, and you want the order on Floor 1 to be Living Room, Kitchen and Dining Room, while Floor 2 should display Office, Master Bedroom, then Guest Bedroom.
To achieved the desired layout (see image above), set each room’s Folder field as follows:
Living Room: F10:First Floor:I15
Kitchen: First Floor:I10
Dining Room: First Floor:I5
Master Bedroom: F5:Second Floor:I15
Office: Second Floor:I10
Guest Bedroom: Second Floor:I5
