CasaTunes Control Modules for Blaze Audio PowerZone Connect Amplifiers

CasaTunes now includes control modules for Blaze Audio PowerZone Connect amplifiers in the latest CasaTunes release. These modules support the full range of PowerZone Connect amplifiers, including 2-, 4-, and 8-channel models, with or without Dante network audio.

Up to six CasaTunes Control Modules can be configured to control up to six amplifiers. When using 8-channel amplifiers (such as the PowerZone Connect 508, 508D, 1008, or 1008D), this configuration could support up to 24 stereo zones or 48 mono zones.

Blaze Audio amps are ideal as secondary amplifiers for rooms that require more power, or for use with CasaTunes software-based matrix systems (CT System) to power the pre-amplified outputs.

Installing the Latest CasaTunes Release

To install the latest CasaTunes release that includes the Blaze Audio control modules:

1. Open the CasaTunesX App.
   
2. Navigate to MENU → Settings → System Setup → Update CasaTunes → Advanced Options.
3. Select Install Latest Release.

Configuration Overview

To enable control of a PowerZone Connect amplifier for a room:

1. Check Enable AV Receiver in Room Settings
2. Select the Blaze Audio Power Connect Amp Module 1-6 to use as the Model
3. Enter the IP Address for the Amplifier
4. Assign the ZONE to control (Zone A–H), depending on your amplifier’s configuration.
5. Select a SOURCE, or select the Current (configured) Source, to use with the selected ZONE

Example Configurations

8-Channel Amplifier (PowerZone Connect 508):
When configured for stereo pairs (A+B, C+D, E+F, G+H):

• Room 1 → Zone A
  
• Room 2 → Zone C
  
• Room 3 → Zone
  
• Room 4 → Zone G
  

4-Channel Amplifier (PowerZone Connect 504):
When configured for stereo pairs (A+B, C+D):

• Room 1 → Zone A
  
• Room 2 → Zone C
  

Mono Configuration:
If configured for mono operation:

• Room 1 → Zone A
  
• Room 2 → Zone B
  
• Room 3 → Zone C
  
• Room 4 → Zone D

Operation Notes

The CasaTunes control module supports turning zones on/off, controlling the zone volume, and configuring the source for a zone.

It is the integrator’s responsibility to ensure:

• The amplifier is powered on and connected.
  
• All zones and amplifier settings are correctly configured in the Blaze Audio setup environment.
