The updated Android App from CasaTunes features a CasaTunes Dream for the Android Daydream feature. The 4.2 or later Android device displays cover art and images of the artist that is playing in the room along with the time of day when docked during Daydream mode.
“CasaTunes was the first of the multi-room companies to have an Android app, a true Android Tablet app and an Android Widget – and now we can add CasaTunes Dream for Android Daydream to the list,” said Krinker.
For faster initial set-up, the updated CasaTunes Android app finds the music server faster with ZeroConfig. The updated app also delivers tablet features to any size modern Android device including the smaller 4.3” version. Even when using an Android phone, with Android 3.1 or later, the CasaTunes app is able to offer a true tablet experience for Android users.
To use any CasaTunes app, choose the room and then quickly search and select songs by album, artist, genre, song title or play list. Music can be played from your music library from your computer, phone or tablet, or any of the music services built into CasaTunes, such as Spotify, Last.fm, TuneIn Radio and SHOUTcast. Schedules can be created for falling asleep or waking up to music. Homeowners can listen to a different playlist in each room and all speakers are continuously synchronized without any echoes. In addition to the new BlackBerry and updated Android apps, homeowners can also use the CasaTunes iPhone and iPad Apps, a web browser or keypads.
The new BlackBerry app can be found at BlackBerry World and the updated Android app can be downloaded at the PlayStore.
