If you already have an amplifier and six rooms or less, choose the CasaTunes XLi Music Server. By integrating our advanced DVD-audio quality multi-room hardware switch along with the CasaTunes Software, the CasaTunes XLi Music Server has the capability to output high quality stereo music in up to 6 rooms. Complete the installation by adding a multi-channel amplifier, like our own CasaTunes XLa 12 channel (2 channels per room) amplifier, and speakers of your choice.

Preloaded with Windows 7 Home Premium and our industry recognized CasaTunes Software, simply power up the music server, answer a few simple startup questions, and start enjoying all your favorite music throughout your home, all in just minutes!

Selecting your music has never been easier than it is with the CasaTunes. You can control the server from our app for the iPhone/iPod touch (the touch makes a very reasonably priced and powerful remote control), you can use any supported web browser on any PC or Web device, such as the Nokia N810 or a Netbook, on your local network, or you can opt to install our CasaTunes Keypads in each room.

The XLi Music Server ships with four built-in music internal sources, with each internal music source capable of playing any combination of music from your iTunes Plus collection, music stored in Windows Media Player, as well as music from an iPod, iPod touch or iPhone. Or you can play music from the SHOUTcast™ music service and other Internet Radio stations. Additionally, the CasaTunes XLi Music Server has one external source. The external source can be used to listen to AM/FM tuners, XM or Sirius satellite radios, CD Players or multiple other types of external sources.

The music server comes pre-installed with a 1000GB (1TB) hard drive. Using the default settings, your music server can store over 6800 albums or 80,000 songs, of very high quality music that is virtually indistinguishable from the original CD. Of course, you can change your settings to use Windows Media or iTunes lossless formats (which will reduce the amount of songs you can store), or you can use one of the standard compression iTunes, Windows Media or MP3 formats, and store over 200,000 songs on your music server.

The Music Server includes 7.1 on-board HD audio that is independent of CasaTunes. The 7.1 HD audio can be used as a separate surround sound output in the room where the Music Server is located (will not be controlled by CasaTunes). The Music Server also has VGA, HDMI and PCI video outputs.
