CasaTunes announces new Keypad

  The new CasaTunes in-wall LCD Keypad completes our line-up of whole house audio distribution systems. The CasaTunes Keypads are specially designed to work with the CasaTunes line of multi-source/multi-room audio products: the CasaTunes XLi, CasaTunes XLe, and the CasaTunes XL Music Servers. The CasaTunes Keypad provides users an additional option to control their music from any room in the home.

   

  Use the keypads to turn your music on or off, turn the volume up or down, switch between multiple sources of music, and advance songs easily. You can also change SHOUTcast^TM Internet Radio stations with the touch of a button. They also enable you to choose songs by album, genre or artist and add them to your queue.

   

  The LCD screen is used to display the music source, song title, artist, album and play back progress information for the current song that is playing, as well as provide system feedback, such as whether this room has been setup to not be disturbed (DND), whether the keypad is setup as a master for the current Zone Group, whether the keypad is locked and does not accept key presses, or whether this room is scheduled to wake to music.

   

  Up to six CasaTunes Keypads can be connected to each CasaTunes Keypad Hub, which in turn connects to a USB port on your CasaTunes music server. The number of keypads supported can easily be expanded by adding additional keypad hubs. The keypads connect to the CasaTunes USB6 Keypad Hub using standard cat5 (or better) cable and terminating each end using a standard RJ45 connector. Assignment of a keypad to a specific room or Zone Group is accomplished using the keypad menus, dramatically simplifying the installation process when compared to other products.

   

  The CasaTunes Keypad and CasaTunes USB6 Keypad Hub can be purchased individually or as a bundle.   The CasaTunes Keypad fits into a standard single gang electrical box or low-voltage frame and is available in almond, white, ivory and black.
