If you are using CasaTunes’ PC User Interface and are searching by artist in your iTunes music, you may sometimes get extra albums that do not include the artist you are searching for. This will happen if you have music without album names in iTunes. To fix this, open iTunes, click on “View” and select “as List”. Next, click on “Album” at the top of the list of your music library songs. Now go to the bottom of the list and look for songs that have no entry in the “Album” column. Right click on each song that does not have an album name, click on “Get Info”, then click on the “Info” tab and, next to “Album”, enter the album name or Unknown if you don’t have a name. You can do this quickly by first selecting all the songs that have no album name (using Shift-click or Ctrl-click), right click on any of the selected files, click on “Get Info”, confirm that you really want to do it, check the box next to “Album” and enter an album name. This will add (or change) the album name for all songs that you had selected.
