I recently added a Squeezebox player as an external source to the XLe Music Server.  I was curious about the control pad that displays when that source is selected.  Is CT currently capable to customize those controls, or is that planned for the next major software release (eg link the buttons to IR cmd strings out to the IR output on the XLe card, or maybe generate RS232 commands to external devices from the Music Server serial port)?

Yes, we will be adding support for customizing the IR control signals to emit for different buttons.  The control pad that is currently displayed will be customizable.  We do not have an ETA for this release yet, but it is part of the next major release following the release of the iPhone and iPod touch app.
