A couple of things

Hi, I had two questions. One is, it seems like every time the control key is pressed in the web browser interface it goes back to the previous song (which makes it very inconvenient if you use (ctrl+tab) to switch windows), why is that? Also, it appears that every time that the queue reaches the end it deletes itself (including when using the shuffle mode when it shuffles to the last song in the queue), why does that happen?

Cannot “Select Music” in Windows 7 x64 Media Center

I have a CasaTunes install on a Windows 7 x64 machine. When utilizing the Media Center interface and an IR remote (a Harmony 890 Pro), the selection options just skip over the “Select Music” option and you are unable to navigate to the volume selection or the volume adjustment commands are hit-or-miss on whether they actually adjust the volume.

I can choose Select Music, if I go into the View Queue sub-menu, but not on the home screen for a particular zone.

Any insight into why this isn’t working as expected?

Not a big issue as just open Firefox, but I assume is a minor fix and annoys me every now and again when I forget.

To reproduce issue:

1) Open CasaTunes v2.80.110512
2) Go to View By Room
3) Click on “Select Music”.
4) Screen goes to correct screen then instantly jumps back to “View by Room” screen.

I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit Service Pack 1.

Server is running same.

Keypad Volume resets to ‘0’

I have the XLI card installed on Windows 7 64bit with CasaTunes 2.8, and 6 Keypads installed. Sometime when powering on from the keypad, the volume resets to the ‘0’ level. In the zone setup I configured to NOT ‘reset the volume level when the zone is powered on’.

Is it a known bug or my configuration is not correct?

I have CasaTunes up and running in our place and both the wife and I love it (Xli in my windows 7 based server, with an Xla powering 5 of the 6 zones, a onkyo receiver (txsr806) powering the sixth). Friends are very, very impressed with the iphone app, the computer app… Much simpler and more polished than many of the other distributed audio solutions out there. Now if only you guys made nicer keypads…. Anyways, I digress.

I didn’t know where best to put this, so here it is. I wanted to make a couple requests for your consideration.

1. Have one of the “players” always linked to a source. I have a player for each mine and my wife’s itunes, but it doesnt make a whole lot of sense to be able to choose all sources from that player. I would prefer to have the option to have a player equal a source. Would save three or four taps on the iphone every time we play music. Of course people would disagree, which is why the option would be nice.

2. When navigating to artists, and they searching, the app should just search artist names, not everything. It should also then give results of Artist names, not the tracks. Additionally, from the top level “search”, when I type in a query, it would be nice if it came up with a section of matching artists, another for matching albums and another for tracks (just like the iPhone player does it). This has caused my wife a bit of frustration

3. I would like the ability to see the entire list of artists or albums when I try to navigate the iPhone app, not just the first ones that are listed. Even if it makes the initial load of that screen a bit slower, it would save a bunch of time on navigation.

4. Did I mention nicer keypads? I have the wiring all done… just waiting to buy.

Casatunes crash on android nexus one

Is this an know issue? I enter the ip address of the music server it look like it try to load room info and the app is crashing….

ShoutCast Favorites aren’t saved to disk?

Whenever I reboot my host PC or stop/start the CasaTunes ervice, all ShoutCast Favorites are gone. It would be a good idea to cache the Favorites to disk so that they don’t have to be re-entered.

no music list

I have succesfully installed casa tunes 2.7 in my windows 7 OS, my problem is, there’s no music list. When I go to select music, its blank and keep on the reading sign on the upper right corner, when I try to search for a music, nothing appears and on the lower left corner says error on page
