Any chance you will be looking at creating drivers for casatunes to integrate with URC’s new Total Control IP products? I am planning on moving to their new total control platform and it would be nice not to have to buy their streaming network player for complete integration. It would also give URC clients control of Casatunes via the remotes.

I am wanting to learn more about the integration with bitwise but I prefer global cache hardware. Can the same thing be programed using one of global cache’s software partners for whole home control such as command fusion?

ISY’s becoming a great unit, with their network module it can call/post to webservices, has anyone done anything with this yet.

I was looking at ISY->Russound but frankly that’s only 1/2 the puzzle, controlling via casatunes will give alot more power around source control, etc..

thoughts ?

Casatunes & Nuvo controlled by ControlFX on ipad

Hi All,

i have installed controlFX software on my ipad
the video on this page shows the interface

http://www.controlfx.co.uk/Overview/c2/p2/ControlFX_Overview/pages.html

i have chosen this software as they are about to release a module to integrate dynalite lighting control and i am a dealer for this brand in my region, i am also selling nuvo, casatunes and vidaox equipment.

Connection of the controlFX software to the nuvo is using an ethernet to rs232 control server and this now complicates things

would the following type of connection get around the single rs232 port issue?
(from what i understand a 2 into 1 rs232 setup will not communicate properly)

1. connect casatunes server to an ‘ethernet to rs232 control server’ (via a nuvonet adapter?)
2. connect the nuvo to another “ethernet to rs232 control server’
3. not forgetting the cat 5 cable from nuvonet adapter to grand concerto

i have read the ‘casatunes serial interface’ document and all control appears to be possible although a little time consuming to set up
but i didnt see anything about metadata which is why i was wondering if the nuvonet adapter was used would this still make casatunes act as a nuvo source even in this configuration?

the plan is to recess wall mount the ipads to replace both the nuvo wall controllers and the dynalite lighting controllers

any comments, thoughts or sugestions would be highly appreciated
