Group Settings

On both the phone and tablet app there are settings to set the power on volume however they do not stick. I do not see a way from the setup or on the iPhone app to do this.

Is it possible to setup power on settings for groups?

I ran across this site earlier today. I really like the software, the ability to use it on my ipad and iphone and all that but had a few questions before I go any further.

Right now, I’ve got a media rack in the basement. I have a Denon 3311 receiver that goes to a AudioSource Amp that has 2 zones on it. I have one zone going to my Garage powering 2 speakers and a second zone powering 2 outdoor speakers by my pool. Currently I’m able to control this by using a App on my iPhone to control the Denon Receiver. I can turn just the Pool zone on, or all zones and I can select which source I want the zones to play…example - Tuner, Pandora, or MP3’s from my 10TB NAS Server. I ran accross this site in a search to add more zones along with a little more control. Heres what I’m currently wanting to do.

I’ve got 1 ELO 0700L Touch Screen LCD not being used. In my media Rack, I have a 1U rack server I built that is running Windows 7. I want to mount the ELO 7” touchpanel in the wall and run the cables down to the server and install the Casatunes software on it so I can control everything from the touchpanel in the wall. Easy enough.

What I would like some suggestions on, is a multizone amp to power all my zones. I’ve currently got the pool and garage zone and I would like to add a zone for the Living room, and a zone for my office which I’ve already got the speakers for….is there any sort of multizone amp with 4 zones that would work well with Casatunes that wont break the bank? I don’t need top of the line and high wattage. I know I would be doing away with the audiosource AMP-100 dual zone amp. I wasnt sure if any multizone amp would work or if there is certain specs that the amp needs to meet in order to be compatible.

Ideas? Suggestions?

Oh and also the 7” touch screen ELO 0700L runs at 800x480 Resolution. Will the Casatunes software look good running at this resolution?

Automatic cross fade between tracks

Is there a way to disable this? It messes with the experience on some albums for which songs are intended to play exactly back-to-back.

casatune license expired

Hi,

I just got casatunes up and running but when I went thru the setup in the end its telling me the casatune license expired. Were do I find the updated license?
I have the LXe with the expansipon box.

Radio Manager

Just thought I’d split this from my other thread. Let me know if anyone has any ideas.

Also, for some reason I lost my custom internet radio stations in the process of upgrading to v3, went back to the set up, the appropriate box is checked, under Radio Manager the station is still there. Under ‘Select Music’, I no longer have the option of internet stations.

So I get this error message in diags:

Error in QueryRadioTime(): System.UriFormatException: Invalid URI: The URI is empty. at System.Uri.CreateThis(String uri, Boolean dontEscape, UriKind uriKind) at System.Uri..ctor(String uriString) at System.Net.WebRequest.Create(String requestUriString) at CasaTunes.MusicServices.MSTuneIn.QueryRadioTime(String URL, Dictionary`2 params)

I don’t know if that is related at all…

I can get both of those to work in iTunes and Winamp without any trouble. Let me know if there is anything I should be doing to troubleshoot.

CasaTunesSvc.exe Crashing Frequently when using Spotify

I have been using CasaTunes with the CasaTunes XLi card for over four years and it has been working flawlessly up until I started using Spotify with it. I’m running the latest version and firmware and CasaTunesSvc windows service crashes consistently when I added Spotify playlist to queue. I create a simple playlist within Spotify’s app drag-and-drop some songs in the playlist then try to add that playlist to the queue. Usually, the first time I add my Spotify playlist to CasaTunes queue it works. When I go back to get a list of Spotify playlists the second time around it almost always crashes with the following error:

CasaTunes and HTPC - Shared PC

Hello,
I need to build a HTPC for my movie room and thinking if I can use my CasaTunes PC which would be running 24x7 to be my HTPC also.
I will be using Windows 7 Media center and ArcSoft Totalmedia theater plug-in to watch movies.
Now, does CasaTunes XLe hardware interfere with my Media center experience (and vice versa)? Particularly when a movie is being watched and someone else turns on music in CasaTunes.

Trouble finding and playing my flac music
