iPhone App turns off Wifi on phone and iPad

As the title says when I am in the CasaTunes app the wifi will turn off. I can go to settings and choose my wifi, reconnect then open CasaTunes use the app for a few seconds then it will turn off again or it might work for a while but be really slow to react to any inputs. This is happening on my iPhone 4 and iPad 1 both running 4.2.1. I can get around this issue on my phone by going through my DNS which will control through the 3g on my phone albeit a little slow but my iPad is wifi only so no joy. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have also done some testing on my iPhone 3GS and it works very well and it is on the same firmware.

Im using an iPad (latest IOS), upgraded CasaTunes on the PC to latest version (2.8?)

it connects to the server, but then hangs at about 1/2 way through the progress bar

Two iphones and funny CT behaviour

Hey guys,

My wife and I each use our iphones to control CasaTunes around the house. We have encountered a little bug. Let’s say that I turn on a zone and my wife uses her phone to turn it off. If my iphone is not connected to the casatunes server (say I closed the app), the next time I open casatunes it will turn the zone back on. I haven’t tested to see if it restores everything to the state in which i left it or if it just turns on the last zone turned on… When I get a sec (probably next weekend) I will try to explore the bug a bit further.

iPhone Application - clear current queue or play now option.

Is there a way in iphone app to clear the queue? Also is there a way select songs and say play now rather than add to queue when choosing from itunes library on iphone app?

Now Playing doesn’t update until….

To reproduce;-

1. Select a Room.
2. Click “Select music”.
3. Click “Change” on your source.
4. Select music and click “Play Now”
5. Click “Now Playing”

Your new music selection starts playing however, if you click “Now Playing”, the cover art and track/artist/album/etc details are still showing what was playing back before the last selection.

If you click “Select Music” again and then just re-select the same Player, the metadata is now updated correctly.

Is this a known issue?

Switching Zones does not work

Hi!

I installed the casatunes Demo on a Windows 7 64 bit OS and want to test the Iphone App on my Ipod Touch 8 GB with Software Version 4. I installed casatunes successfully after a few tries. Now i can search for music play in my demo zone and adjust the volume, but the only problem is that i can’t turn on or off the zone by clicking the button. so there is shown “zone 1 is off” but it is still playing.
Is this a problem of the demo version? is it a problem of the app?

IP address and port settings for wifi use of itouch app

Have casatunes running on one of the MCE PC (windows 7) in my home network
set up : Cable modem—> router (with wifi)—> switch—> MCE with casatunes running
Question : which music server settings (IP and port) to I need to set in the casa tunes app settings ? The IP address of the nearest AP, the IP address of the router, the IP address of the LAN-network card of the MCE ?
Any help welcome.

SHOUTcast Favorites

Two issues….maybe…unless just me.

With the new version of Casatunes for the ipod touch/iphone I am unable to make a Shoutcast favorite by selecting the heart. Is this something that I am doing wrong in the new version? I am also unable to get rid of existing Shoutcast favorites by de-selecting the heart.

Other issue I noticed is that when I select the ‘tasks’ gear…many times I am unable to select the ‘cancel’ button to get out. Once in a while it works.

Any other people experience this same issue?

Volume slide turns zone on

Hi,

Here is what I noticed:

I am playing two zones with one source. All is good.
I turn one of those zones off. (I turn the power off while in that zone). All is good

Here is the interesting thing. I go back to the zone I turned off and select the volume slider control and it turns the zone on. However, it still shows the zone off. In order to turn that ‘already off’ zone off I have to turn it back on again and off again.

Are you aware of this issue?
